Do you ever look at wedding decorations or details and think that it is obviously DIY? Well, in this case I was blown away by this DIY talent. Meghan crocheted that beautiful shawl she is wearing annnnnd made the flowers for her hair. I would never have thought they were homemade. Such talent! Side note: did you just do a double take thinking you saw Matthew Broderick in these photos? You wouldn't be the first one to make the observation that this Matt is a Matthew Broderick look-a-like.

I hope your enjoy this beautiful wedding to follow as much as I did photographing it! Alex and Fadwa met and fell in love at the local Greek Festival. They both have a very strong connection to their heritage including their love of dancing and food and basically everything Greek! I love that I'm lucky enough to book only FUN and EXCITING weddings! We started our day at Square One Salon in downtown Dayton with the girls and headed to my favorite place to eat, the Dublin Pub, where the guys had their first toast of the day. Nothing boring here! The night was filled with laughter, drink and of course DANCING!!!!

This Scottish Star Wars loving wedding is Equal Parts Geek & Chic
The force is strong with these 2 Scottish sweeties. I am going to keep this short as I think the pictures tell all. But there are 3 reasons why I am crazy about April and Jared’s wedding, beyond the fact that they are the sweetest couple ever!
1. Her dress!!! OMG! That shoulder detail is to die for.
2. Keeping it true to their Scottish heritage. Complete with bag pipes and the boys all dressed in traditional Scottish swag, including small knives hidden in their socks. They kept it Scottish from the choice of a deep color scheme for the event and even used the national emblem of Scotland…thistle in the floral arrangements.
3. Their love for all things geek. From super hero cuff links on the groomsmen to a Lego Storm Trooper that I got to play with all night, placing in random and unexpected locations for photo ops that would make George Lucas proud.
