Briana & Ryan Wedding // Canopy Creek Farm Dayton Ohio

This gorgeous wedding was a collective labor of love by the Brides Mother and her Aunt Olivia.  The bride Briana and all the collaborators did such an amazing job coordinating all the details.  Guests were greeted with an outdoor drink to start the night off right.

Details include a vintage wooden mantel dressed with beautiful rich green and red flowers by Floral V Designs. Each row was capped with red roses to shower on Briana & Ryan after they said "I Do". The rain didn't stop this bride from making an entrance in a horse drawn carriage.

Their reception was packed to the brim with excited guests.  My favorite moment was the peg board donut display!

Megan & Nathan // Wedding

I love Rock N Roll….

Your wedding should, without a doubt, be a reflection of who you are as a couple. And Megan and Nathan’s wedding did just that.   This couple pulled together a very personal themed wedding around their love for music, for a celebration that truly sings and is a unique way to celebrate the harmony of their new life together.  The bride even gifted the groom a 12 string guitar.

The event took place at The Top of the Market which is a 105-year-old historic venue located in downtown Dayton, Ohio and offered an urban vibe for the nuptials.  The music and Hollywood theme was continued throughout as the bride’s mother and her bestie designed the flowers in the colors of whites and deep purples.  Guest signed a Hollywood star as a creative alternative to a guest book.  They also had a concession stand with a popcorn machine and a candy buffet.  Speaking of sweets, the cake table had special cookies on them homemade by the bride’s best friend and her family.   "Dahlas" is a true Italian cookie that symbolizes "tying the knot" and wishes you good fortune on your marriage.

The guests were surprised by a confetti entrance and even played photographer that night as "I-spy" cards were placed on each table for guests to capture pictures of the night.

Erica & Nick

I Love You More Than Ohio State Loves Football...

There may not be a more hardcore fan base in the BIG 10 conference than that of the Ohio State Buckeyes. From the lovable mascot Brutus to “Dotting the I”, tradition runs deep in Ohio.  Erica and Nick are no exception they bleed scarlet and grey like the rest of us and decided to showcase their love for OSU football on their BIG DAY!

Just like the OSU band, aka “The Best Damn Band in the Land” this couple most definitely had “the best damn wedding” thus far.  Plus did I mention, Erica and Nick are the most amazing people on the planet!

Erica and her deep love and obsession for Etsy and Pinterest was apparent throughout the ceremony and the reception. From   customized EVERYTHING..... to napkins, cups, stir sticks, to TONS of signage, to charger plates, to customized Coke bottles, to matching Kimonos for her girls, a classic car, and a vintage camper photo booth. Lastly a hay bale monogrammed with flowers by my friends at Floral V Designs!  They thought of EVERYTHING and their fantastic wedding planners were instrumental in making it all come together and run perfectly smooth!  The girls at Pink with Envy make my life so easy!

Before the wedding they buried a bottle of whiskey on the venue grounds for good luck!  Per Southern tradition, they had to dig it back up on their wedding day!

Even though this wedding didn’t take place at The Shoe in Columbus, Ohio (ohhh, but the engagement session did-click here) the venue of Canopy Creek was a perfect backdrop to this elegant but amazingly fun affair.

From all the amazing details (Brutus head hiding on back of cake, Grooms Cake of the Ohio State Stadium) to the heartfelt vows with tons of OSU football stats incorporated into them.  LOVE!

O-H-I-O!!!!  GO BUCKS!!!

157 DAYS TILL OSU BEATS “That Team up North”

Tharu & Justin Wedding

Quite possibly the cutest couple ever!  These 2 love birds met at school in Ohio and now are a power couple that lives in NYC.  Tharu and Justin’s wedding was held in Dayton, Ohio and was a fusion of both western and Sri Lankan cultures where guests traveled near and far to attend the celebration.

Tharu wore a beautiful white and gold saree for the ceremony and then changed into a modern western wedding dress for the reception.  She also followed western tradition and wore something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue in her gorgeous gold jewels.  She wore jewelry from both her grandmothers that have both passed, which included earrings from her dad's mom and a bangle from her mom's mom.

Justin and Thrau’s dads both got together along with their tool belts and built the “Poruwa”, or the Sri Lankan bridal throne/ bridal altar. During the ceremony, the couple lit a traditional Sri Lankan lamp decorated with strings of jasmine flowers, and symbolized the light that starts their marriage together.  Also during the ceremony, the guitarist is the bride’s old guitar teacher, while Justin's cousin, sung “Your Song" by Elton John as the couple walked down the aisle in the Great Hall at the Dayton Art Institute.

The reception was filled with lots of food, drinks and dancing,   which included a Sri Lankan dancing session with "Baila" music, where all guest were on the dancefloor.

Guests left with full bellies, tired feet and gifts of can Koozies designed by the couple that gave a tribute to the great state of OHIO and favor boxes designed by the brides uncle filledwith Sri Lankan Love cake that her mom made from scratch….YUMMY!!!
