Lisa & Rick Wedding

I love a couple who embraces a rainy day. This rustic/vintage backyard wedding at the bride’s parents house is proof that rain on your wedding day is nothing to fear. Also, let’s not forget the years of good luck.  Lisa and Rick are way too cool to let a thing like this ruin their day.  The outdoor ceremony had to be moved onto the dancefloor of the tented reception area.

This wedding is vintage meets glam with a romantic twist.  There is nothing more intimate than having your nuptials at a family member’s house and then using your family heirlooms as wedding décor.  Items include small oil borrowed from Groom's parents & books are from Bride's parents.  They are some serious DYI moments at this wedding too- Signs through the yard made by Groom and Bride, and Groom made small crates for centerpieces.  They also both made the solar lights that hung in the trees outside of the tent.

Lisa looked flawless in a vintage-style lace dress, a birdcage veil, a vintage fur stole and tons of sentimental pieces of jewelry.

As avid dancers, the reception was filled TONS of dancing and a special choreographed dance where the bride had to change into her fancy dancing shoes.  The guests and their awesome dancing skills made us feel like we were watching an episode of “Dancing with the Stars” but even better.

When this awesome celebration was all said and done, guests (including us) walked away  (thru a sparkler exit) with a wonderful gift from the bride and groom- a bodacious compilation CD. - We listened to it the whole way home and knew that this would not be the end of our relationship with Lisa and Rick- they are just too cool to forget! I adore this couple and have the fondest memories of their big day! This Vintage Rainy Day Wedding was the perfect kickoff to Lisa and Rick’s amazing future together.

Check out Lisa and Rick’s engagement session here with a 1933 Plymouth.  I think a vintage or classic car is the best photo prop around!  No matter what era the car is from, there is just something romantic about older cars that you can't get with even a modern luxury car.

Pinned Up Styled Shoot

BEST FRIEND WEDDING DRESS SHOOT-Some best friends wear matching friendship bracelets.  Others opt for tattoos.  But for these ladies who’s over a decade friendships celebrated their bond with something a little more magical!  Married best friends all re-lived their amazing wedding day and put on their gowns for some ultimate girlie time in front of the camera.  This a great reason to wear that expensive white dress ONE MORE TIME without trashing it.  In celebration of their weddings and their friendships together, these ladies have approximately 13 total years of being wives and a total 16 years of being besties!  What a creative way to celebrate your bond with your girlfriends!

P.S. Hubbies, pets and children were also included!

Carrie & Phil Wedding

I'm pretty excited when I meet couples like Carrie & Phil.  They have been together for ages like, ages and ages.  But they wanted to wait until all people in the U.S.A. could legally be married before exercising their own right. So after the Supreme Court Ruled in favor of Same-Sex marriage they decided it was finally time to get hitched themselves!  This court house wedding was attended by a small group of their closest friends and was performed by the Mayor of Dayton, Nan Whaley.  She was one of the first Mayors in Ohio to marry a same sex couple after it became legal!

Carrie wore a kick ass Galaxy Print Dress and had a handmade paper flower bouquet!

Multicultural Colorful Indian-American Fusion Wedding: A glorious ALL DAY celebration, a fabulous blending of cultures, a breathtaking bride and groom… if ever there was a wedding weekend to stop you COMPLETELY in your tracks, this spectacular soiree is IT.  From the vibrant colors bursting from every corner to all the heartwarming moments throughout the day!

The day started with a Baraat in the streets with drums, dancing and the groom on a white horse, yes a white horse outside the Hilton Garden Inn!  The adorable couple tied the knot during a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony with tons of beautiful color.  All the gorgeous details in this bright and bold ceremony keep the ceremony fresh and exciting. After the ceremony the couple changed into western attire for their rockin’ reception held at Benham’s Groove in Centerville.  The night was filled with yummy food, tons of drinking and some SUPER wild dancing.  Good Times!
